Department of Zoology was established in June 1992 with only 09 students at B. Sc. Level. This is one of the important department of basic sciences and is an integral part of the college. The department runs Zoology as one of the optional subject at UG (B. Sc.) level.
- To develop an interest in the subject to study animal physiology among the students
- To develop a scientific attitude and harmony about animals among the students
- To develop the technical and entrepreneurial skills needed in day-to-day life and practical knowledge
- To motivate the student to higher education in the allied subjects
- To develop museum studies in the department
- To Establish a post-graduate studies center in the department
- To start water-harvesting and vermicomposting units on the campus.
