Shrikrishna Education Society is one of the oldest management in this area established in 1927 and introduced Shrikrishna Mahavidyalaya, Gunjoti in June 1991 with two streams i.e. Arts & Science at UG and PG level affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and working with a motto“Education for Deprived” i.e., especially for students below the poverty line and girls of this region those who cannot afford higher education in urban areas.
This college is among the reputed colleges of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University and is situated in a rural setup in a remote place on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border away from the University. The college has 24 qualified regular faculty members among them 15 are supervisors for Ph.D. degrees and 6 contractual faculties and 16 non-teaching staff. The college is permanently affiliated with Dr.B.A.M.U. Aurangabad, included under 2(f)- 12(B) of the University Grants Commission, possesses well physical and academic facilities. The college is well-equipped with laboratories for research centers in five subjects with computerization of the Library and Office including a functional website where each and every piece of information related to the college is displayed. research facilities, B. VOC courses, YCMOU STUDY CENTER, PMKVY skill center, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities are also made available by the college to the students and citizens of the region and updated from time to time to keep pace with changing patterns in higher education. College is reaccredited by NAAC B++ Grade and A grade in the academic and administrative audit by the affiliated university and promotes quality higher education in the rural area, basically for girl students. Activities of the women’s development committee are impactful and popular among self-help groups, resulting in entrepreneurship among women of Gunjoti village. The NSS unit of the college was awarded the best unit in the university by the affiliated university, and Jivan sadhana award has been conferred to the secretary of shrikrishna education society by the university for contribution to education, health care, and social work. The college is honored by NGOs for organizing blood donation camps regularly.

Greetings from the Principal, Shrikrishna Mahavidyalaya, the best higher educational institution in rural setup affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. Shrikrishna Mahavidyalaya was established in 1991 by Late Tulshiramji Patil (Ex-MP) and Dr. D. B. Patange (Well Known Surgeon) with Moto “Education for Deprived”. To achieve this goal our college is making sincere efforts to produce future academic leaders and better citizens. We not only prove ourselves in academics but also in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Teaching-learning is at the core of the institutional ethos. Institution follows a student-centric approach and teachers are trained to bring social change.
The institution has twenty-six regular faculty members in Arts and Science discipline, eight core staff members, and sixteen administrative staff. The college enrolled 650 students every academic year in twelve Undergraduate programs, three post-graduate programs, five research centers, and a YCMOU study center. The college has signed twelve MoUs for conducting various academic as well as extra-curricular activities. The students have been contributing to the college through their performance in sports, games, youth festivals, and academic activities. The Institution gives due importance to the integral development of the students. The UGC has given substantial financial support under a General development grant, Merged schemes, and the Construction of a Women’s hostel building, a Library building, an Indoor sports building, classrooms, and run study centers. The college provides library services, Sports, Indoor games, and recreational facilities to students and young aspiring minds of this region. Since the academic year 2018-2019, we have introduced B.Voc programs as per the need of the industry. The college also has supervisors in Hindi, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, and library science. PMKVY skill center is also added recently to the college and the DDUGKY program is likely to be introduced soon.
